To commemorate this special blessing, God's gift of Mom's smooth recovery, I thought it would be appropriate to photograph mom.

Here's one of the photos. To read more about our session together, please go here.
Thank you to everyone's prayers, love, support, visits, Skype calls, and emails. We appreciate it.

Praise the Lord!

Happy Liver Anniversary!

The following is a personal note from Mom. God has been so good to us. ~ Guenie

Dearest Mommy & everyone,

Today. the 22nd of March marks my one year of receiving a new liver!  Here's what I did this very day, (although everyday, since I was allowed to drive again is always hectic it seems like).  Got up at 0540, made breakfast, then, instead of my weekday daily walk I drove Jun  22 miles to his training center (since he didn't wake up at 0430 to catch 3 buses ).  Then I spent  an hour of adoration to the Blessed Sacrament, did grocery, put on 2 loads of laundry, walked for almost 2 hours doing door to door visitation with one member of the Legion of Mary, went to mass, then joined the parishioners (church was full) for the stations of the Cross.  Thank God that I am able to do all these and still have some energy left surprisingly.

I thought I share today's activities since you were all instrumental in my healing.  Thank you so much!

Tomorrow is a recollection for the Legion of Mary.  I cannot stay for the whole day because I have to attend the 9th Saturday novena of St. Vincent Ferrer.  I feel so good  joining our kabaleyan for this gathering annually.  We sing the refrain of the "gozos" of San Vicente Ferrer after each decade of the rosary.  Dennis' elementary classmate, Sonny Milo accompanies the singing with his guitar.  The group is full of life,  and makapalikliket ira.

I thank of course my children, Guenie, Chad, Jun & Johnny for all their love and support, for having unselfishly did everything to make me comfortable during my confinement.  Chad especially made sure (with some consultations with Guen of course) that all rules/instructions for my care were followed strictly to the letter, thus making my recovery faster.  What a blessing!

Happy Easter to everyone!

Love,
Nonie
