Day 112: Changes

Mom is now doing practically everything for herself these days. She's changing her own dressing, preparing her own medications, and meals. She is back to her old self. The only thing she can't do is drive, yet. We haven't received the green light from the doctors. So the only thing she needs us for is to drive her to her appointments, and run errands for her. She has started to attend some family functions, as well as her prayer group activities. She goes to church early Sunday morning to avoid big crowds (avoid risk of getting exposed to groups of sick people).

Here she is watching t.v. with her feet up. Her feet has been getting swollen more often, especially after doing chores around the house or standing for longer periods of time.

There seems to be a lot of changes going on. Mom's taste buds have changed, and craves food she normally didn't like before. Inspired by watching her new favorite show, The Chew, she has also stepped out of her normal repertoire of standard recipes and has tried out new recipes from the Internet. She also has been making her own bread, regular white bread and cinnamon swirl bread. Mmmmmm.. Popo loves it and actually spit out the store bought bread we have at home.

Mom's transplant experience has also inspired my brother and I to take steps to improve our own health. So we've been exercising six days a week in the evening with Popo.
