Thanksgiving is one of our favorite holidays. For as long as I can remember, we've always had our own turkey sit down meal together as a family. The only difference is that the "kids" prepare the meals for the "elders". It's easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle, and the stress of cooking the perfect Thanksgiving feast. At times, I needed to stop myself and remember what the reason for the season is. To be grateful for what you have. It's about being thankful for all of God's blessings and gifts He has given us and is continuing to bless us with.
Updates on Mom: She has started driving herself around town. She has been more independent in doing her errands. Her results and levels have been where they should. Mom continues to try out new recipes, and bake homemade bread! She has also continued her regular walking regimen every morning.
This holiday season, I wanted to start traditions (actually rekindle them) and take a formal family picture. The family members were being good sports, considering I was withholding their turkey from them until we got some decent pictures! I hope we can continue this for years to come.
Happy Thanksgiving! We are grateful for you, your prayers, and well wishes this year! God Bless You!
